Guess what. Today is Monday. It's 3:45 pm. I'm at home, wearing a tie-dye t-shirt, shorts. I'm sitting on the couch, checking my grades, facebooking into oblivion and now blogging. I just played a game with Brax and now I'm watching Disney Channel with Emma. Know what that means? I AM DOING NOTHING! It's a good feeling.

This past weekend was pretty awesome and chill.

We had a barbecue as a farewell for all of those awesome people graduating, and going out into the world. It was a lot of fun, and the food was delicious! I'll definitely miss everyone, even if I haven't been working with them for very long. Trina is gonna rock the world of Southern California with her little family. =) Mike is gonna save the world by starting with South America, hopefully he survives that and comes back with some neat stories. =) Devin is just going south for the summer, gonna bum around. And Jess is going to be the best elementary school teacher ever! Those little kids are super lucky! Rob is going to find a job and teach the snot out of the older kids. =) I will miss you guys. Thanks for an awesome semester!

This coming week will be just as chill. I work, but I don't have school, and I am stoked beyond belief about that! =)

In less than a week, I will be in the theater, watching AVENGERS! Yea, I'm a bit excited.

Remember how I wanted a hippie bus, and I asked Nathan to sell his car to buy me one? He looked into it. =) He did some research to see if a hippie bus was really a good idea. Turns out it isn't...they have a tendency to explode, you have to constantly repair them, and they get awful gas mileage. The point is, he considered it. How awesome is that? That's just the kind of boyfriend I have.

Alright, now I blogged. Now what? Read? I have time to read! Adios! I'll be reading!

Friday, April 27th

Guess what? It's the end of finals.

I'm sitting at work right now, with two things on my mind:

1. The professors that keep walking by in their robes need wands. It would definitely make everything better. Just say Professors Dennis and Bob, definitely needed wands. What class would Dennis teach in the wizarding world? Probably muggle studies. Bob would be defense against the dark arts. Tell me what you think, for those of you who know them. Text me or something.

2. These awesome cookies from Subway are awesome. Do this. Go to your local Subway. Order a raspberry cheesecake cookie. Eat it and enjoy! I first tried these cookies when a customer came to Campus Connection with some. They were convincing their friend that they were the best cookies. They asked my opinion. I told them I hadn't tried them. So they gave me one. I agreed. They were super good. I love them. Nathan is so sweet to bring them to me. =)

I'm at the Post Office, and there is no one here. I'm going to learn to close so I'll be ready for the new schedule this week.

here. enjoy this:

multiple dimensions?

Once upon a time, my mom discovered she was pregnant with me. Like most (almost all) mothers, she started picking out baby names for me, the little unborn child. She decided on Afton. My grandma talked her out of it, and I got named Morgan.

Twenty and a half years later, I am sitting here at work, minding my own business. A young couple is standing across the hall staring at me. I smile politely. The girl asks me "Is your name Afton?"

I shake my head. "No, it's Morgan."

The girl's husband replies "Oh...You look like an Afton."

This made me wonder, in some alternate reality, did my mom name me Afton? And if so, how is that going for me/her?

Anyway, had to share that.

Shhhh, I'm "doing homework"

Guess what week it is? Finals week! Guess what that means? No sleep!

I hate to toot my own horn, but toot. I am probably the best procrastinator there is. I know, you thought you took the cake with your skills, but it is currently 9 pm, the day before I have an eleven page paper, a four page paper, and a single page paper due. Am I screwed? Nope! Know why? Because I know how to procrastinate.

Here! Enjoy this video of my favorite singer covering Adele (and doing it better):

Off to start writing for reals! See ya on the other side!

I am so incredibly tired right now. I'm running on only four and a half hours of sleep. That might seem like a lot to some people, considering it's finals week, but I can barely function with 6 hours a night. I need at least 12 to be happy and energetic...and coherent. Four hours is killing me. I have the worst headache and everything just seems so surreal.

I stayed up way late to finish a project for my audio class. It turned out awesome, and I am really proud of it. (It was a mix of songs I would take with me on a desert island, an album cover, and a short explanation of why I chose each song. I went retro. I'll post pics and the song list when I wake up more.)

When I'm tired, my mind starts wandering and I end up wanting to do the weirdest things. I found out I can combine two of my dreams surfing and Ireland. My newest goal? Surf in Ireland! (Yes, I realize that's a bit ridiculous, but my tired mind doesn't care.)

I also wonder who I am, but only when I'm tired. Normally, I don't care. When my mind is exhausted, I wonder if I'm the churchy-type, or the liberal-type, or if I'm girly enough, or smart enough, or this that and the other enough. After sleeping a bit, I usually wake up and don't even care. So I guess that's who I am?

When I'm tired I usually cut my hair as well. It's because I don't like dealing with my hair when I'm tired. I tend to get hair cuts around finals time... because that's also when I don't sleep. This time, not happening. I learned my lesson. I always whine when I cut my hair. This time I'm letting it grow. But I do want to dye it a funny color...we'll see how I feel when I wake up.

That's all I can remember right now, being so tired. Wish me luck though on my finals week. And enjoy this video of Linkin Park's new song that came out today. I'm a big fan and I am so stoked for their new album. (Don't worry. It's a clean song, no naughty words, for those of you who mind those.)

Tonight we transformed my cave-man into a bank teller. Ready for this?

My vicarious beard is now gone. My surrogate beard-grower aborted the beard... It's a bit sad.

It still catches me off guard when I look over and the fluff is gone. I love it, it just takes a bit of getting used to. I don't remember him pre-beard, and the onset was gradual. Now it's just gone. =) Thankfully all his awesomeness was not hiding in his beard.

This is a post, that I am posting, while sitting in the post office. BAM!

While coming up with that killer opening line, I totally forgot my whole reason for posting. So here, enjoy this super awesome engagement video:

well I'm off to try to be productive!

A few items of business

I feel like I have this really long list of things I want to blog about, but then I start to really think about them, and I come down to two or three. That's when I remember my very first item of business.

Memory. Somehow our brains have the capability to store past events. We store past emotions, past activities, jokes, stories, accidents, triumphs. How in the world do they do that? And why doesn't mine work right?

Lately the connections in my brains haven't exactly been...connecting. Somewhere between the memory bank and my conscious mind they are getting lost. It's a frequent thing with long-term memories, and it's nearly constant with my short term memory. In the morning, I forget which toothbrush is mine. As soon as my jammies are on, I forget which outfit I wore that day. I am constantly forgetting to do homework or tasks. I read somewhere that writing things down helps a lot with these problems...but I always forget to write them down.

Thoughts are so fleeting in my mind. One second I can be fully focused on what I'm doing, the next I am wondering why my shoes aren't tied, and while tying my shoes I could decide I want a pet pig. It's like that book, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie." It's a great book! I love it!

See, while writing about memories, I've forgotten my other two items of business.

Oh! I remember! My phone. It's ridiculous. It decided that today was April Fool's day. So it told me the incorrect time most of the day, from about noon on (I say about because it wasn't telling me the right time), it told me my battery was low then fully charged then low then charged, it alerted me of "0 new messages", and the messages I did get were sent to me in giant packets of ten or more. It was incredibly frustrating,

As for any other items of business, I don't remember them. I'm sure they will come to me eventually. Or not. Who knows.

For now, enjoy this:
